Cock A Doodle Bloom — A Night Full of Laughter, Community & Heart

Last night’s Cock A Doodle Bloom paint party was one of those evenings that reminded us exactly why we started Mum & Me Paint Parties in the first place.

The room at Pineridge Community Hall – Pines Social Room was absolutely buzzing with laughter, conversation, creativity, and enough giggling to make even the painted roosters look concerned 🐓😂

From the moment guests walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Between the amazing community energy, delicious food and drinks available on site, and tables full of people cheering each other on, it truly became more than just a paint night — it became an experience.

Every canvas turned out beautifully unique, but the real masterpiece of the evening was the connection shared around the room.

This event also held a very personal meaning for me.

Unfortunately, I have been dealing with a pretty serious flare-up that may be related to sciatica, making it difficult to stand or walk for long periods of time. There was a moment where I honestly didn’t know if the event would even be possible.

And this is where my daughter Taylor completely stepped in and shined.

If it were not for her, this event simply would not have happened.

She took the class under her wings with confidence, kindness, patience, and so much heart. Watching her guide the room, help guests, keep the laughter flowing, and bring the entire evening together made me incredibly proud — not just as a business partner, but as her mom.

She handled the evening beautifully, and I truly could not have done it without her.

Taylor, thank you for carrying the night when I physically couldn’t. You were amazing, and everyone in that room could feel the care and energy you brought into the space.

To every single person who attended — thank you for supporting local, supporting community spaces, and supporting two women chasing a dream together one paint party at a time.

And a huge shoutout once again to Pineridge Community Hall – Pines Social Room for providing such an incredible venue filled with community spirit, great food, drinks, and an atmosphere that makes people feel right at home.

Last night wasn’t just about painting roosters.

It was about community.
It was about laughter.
It was about showing up for one another.

A Beautiful Afternoon at the Carstairs Legion

Some paint parties are fun.
Some are memorable.
And some leave your heart completely full long after the last brushstroke dries.

Our recent afternoon in Carstairs was exactly that.

From the moment guests began arriving, the room was filled with warmth, laughter, and that unmistakable feeling of community coming together to create something special. With brushes in hand and creativity flowing, artists of all experience levels settled in for an evening that was about so much more than just painting.

It was about connection.

It was about stepping away from the noise of everyday life and making space for creativity, conversation, and genuine moments together.

Watching each canvas come to life throughout the night was absolutely incredible. Every painter added their own personality, style, and imagination to the experience, and by the end of the evening the room was bursting with color, smiles, and proud artists showing off their masterpieces.

One of the most beautiful parts of hosting paint parties in smaller communities like Carstairs is seeing how naturally people come together. Whether friends arrived as a group, couples came out for a fun night together, or guests attended on their own and left with new friendships — the energy in the room was truly something special.

The Legion created the perfect cozy atmosphere for an afternoon of creativity, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to bring Mum & Me Paint Parties into such a welcoming space. The support, excitement, and kindness shown throughout the afternoon meant the world to us.

A huge thank you goes out to every single person who joined us, laughed with us, painted with us, and helped make the evening such a success. Your support continues to help our little creative community grow, and we never take that for granted.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

FUNDRAISER Jamaica Relief

A Night of Creativity, Community & Giving Back – Strathmore Fundraiser Recap

Last night in Strathmore was something truly special.

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting a Mum & Me Paint Party fundraiser alongside Michelle, with a shared goal of giving back to communities in Jamaica still recovering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Melissa. Even now, many areas continue to face hardship, and every bit of support helps move them one step closer to rebuilding.

And what a night it was 💛

Nineteen incredible artists filled the room, each bringing their own creativity, energy, and heart to the canvas. Watching everyone pour their imagination into their paintings was nothing short of inspiring—it’s moments like these that remind us how powerful art and community can be when they come together for a cause.

Thanks to everyone who attended and supported, we raised $180.00 through the event. Mum & Me Paint Parties proudly added an additional $90.00 donation, bringing the grand total to $270.00 going toward supplies that will be sent back to Jamaica.

This is what community looks like.
This is what compassion in action feels like.

We are beyond grateful to have been welcomed into your community with such warmth and enthusiasm. Our hearts are full, and we are so proud of what was accomplished together in just one evening.

Signs Beneath the Moon Paint Party — What a Night! 🌙

Not even 30 minutes in and the fire alarm went off… and no, our painters weren’t that hot 🔥😂 But once the chaos settled, the creativity soared.

I got pulled away for facility issues, but my left-hand superstar Miss Taylor Magoo jumped in and guided the group like a total pro — without even practicing the painting! Every canvas turned out amazing.

Thank you for believing in our little mother–daughter team and bringing your laughter, joy, and wild moments (fire alarms included). Can’t wait to see you back on the canvas in a couple of weeks! 💛
